Drivers and Buddy Drivers

Our SALSA-accredited production facility adheres to strict hygiene and safety measures and rigorous quality control processes to ensure the highest product quality and safety standards. Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are now looking to hire Drivers and Buddy Drivers for our Central Production Unit at Elland Road, Leicester LE3 1TU

All drivers must hold a valid and up-to-date C1 Class driving licence and a Driver CPC card.

Role Responsibilities

Driver Duties

· Driving and Compliance: Operate C1-class vehicles safely, legally, and in full compliance with all traffic and company regulations.

· Route and Schedule Planning: Follow pre-assigned delivery routes efficiently; adapt to road conditions and traffic to ensure on-time delivery.

· Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking tyres, lights, oil, brakes, and general vehicle condition. Report defects immediately.

· Load Security: Ensure all loads are securely fastened and compliant with UK transport legislation before movement.

· Loading/Unloading: Supervise and assist in loading and unloading goods safely, using equipment such as tail-lifts and pallet trucks.

· Documentation: Complete all delivery records, logbooks, and vehicle inspection forms accurately and promptly.

· Customer Service: Represent Chokdee Ltd professionally when interacting with restaurant staff or customers, maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude.

Buddy Driver (Driver’s Assistant) Duties

· Loading and Unloading Support: Assist with the safe and efficient loading/unloading of goods, ensuring correct placement and condition.

· Load Supervision: Verify and accept the load before departure, ensuring all items correspond to the delivery documentation.

· Customer Liaison: Support the driver in communication with restaurants and customers regarding deliveries, signatures, and queries.

· Warehouse Support: When required, assist warehouse staff with preparing goods for dispatch, organising pallets, and checking order accuracy.

· Checklist & Equipment Care: Ensure all delivery checklists are completed, equipment is fully charged, and tools are maintained properly throughout the shift

Multi-drop drivers with fixed routes, with a minimum of 45 hours per week.
