Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are now looking to hire Warehouse Pickers for our Central Production Unit at Elland Road, Leicester LE3 1TU
The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, handling, and preparing customer orders for dispatch in accordance with Chokdee Distribution Centre’s standards and procedures. This role ensures efficient, safe, and hygienic handling of all products across Frozen, Chilled, Ambient, and Miscellaneous storage zones, maintaining product quality, accuracy, and food safety compliance.
Role Responsibilities
· Pick customer orders accurately according to the picking instructions provided through the company’s EPR system and handheld scanners.
· Follow the correct picking method as defined by the Goods-In Department and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Verify product codes, batch numbers, and quantities before confirming picks in the system.
· Handle goods carefully to prevent product damage, contamination, or loss.
· Comply with Chokdee’s Food Safety Policy, hygiene standards, and temperature control procedures. Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet jacks, electric trolleys, forklifts) and report any faults immediately.
· Ensure accurate EPR (Enterprise Process Resource) transactions for all picked items and follow all company operational protocols.
· Assist with stock counting, replenishment, and reporting of any discrepancies or damages.
· Work collaboratively with Goods-In, Dispatch, QA, and Transport teams to maintain workflow efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills
· Prior warehouse experience, preferably in a food distribution environment.
· Familiarity with EPR or warehouse management systems (WMS).
· Knowledge of HACCP and food safety principles.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow digital picking procedures.
· Physically fit and capable of manual handling in various temperature zones.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
